Mission Blue follows oceanographer, scientist, teacher and explorer Dr. Earle paints a picture of how she fell in love with the oceans and why they need to be protected. The main premise of the film is to raise awareness about the ocean and how it is dying. Earle pushes for the safety and protection of the oceans in the form of Hope Spots. In the end of the film there were some short messages shared.
